As far as I know, Alan is financing this board himself. Here is your chance to help out.

I discussed this idea earlier with Alan and I think I will have him to create
a new forum which I will help moderate for this and related support topics.
We will also make this thread a sticky locked one, leaving the rest of the forum
available for questions you may have.

Here is the scoop --- I sell prepaid phone cards. Alan needs cash to help run the board.

If you use phone cards and buy them from me, I will send Alan cash.

Phone Card Name:     Radiant's Nation's Choice
Face Value:               $5

All calls must originate in the states (anywhere you can dial an 800 number)

Calls to 48 contental states:
       Connect charge ------- ZERO
Per Minute Charge --- ONE CENT
       Billed in 1-minute increments

Calls outside of 48 continental states
       Connect Charge ------- $1 to $3
Per minute Charge --- varies by country
       Billed in 3-minute increments

Other Charges
       Initialization Charge ---- none
Carrying Charge --------- 25 cent/week starts one week after initial usage
Pay Phone Origination-- 49 cents (or 59? - Sorry forget which) per call made from a pay phone

How to order:

Send your mailing address and $5 for each card  to me using one of the following:

option (1) --- check, money order, or cash (not recommended) to
                   James K. Siegman
                   548 Walnut
                   Elmhurst IL 60126-1848

option (2) -- if you have a PayPal account, go to PayPal.com and pick "send money"
You can send a payment for the cards to me at jsiegman@comcast.net

option (3) -- (added after Alan's question)
Contact me with your email address and the number of cards you are interested in
-- I will go to PayPal and send you an invoice -- PayPal allows verified members to send an invoice to anyone
You will receive the invoice via e-mail
You should be able to pay that invoice with a credit card or an on-line check

option (4) -- If you have some other preferred method, contact me. If it works for me as well, fine..

If I get enough interest, I will carry $10 face value cards as well

IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, START A NEW THREAD. I WILL ANSWER IT.

I do want to make one clarification.  I do not need cash to run this board, in that there
are no added expenses to my life whether the board is running or not.

Here is the scoop --- I sell prepaid phone cards. Alan needs cash to help run the board.

I think I like that idea.  Of course, we are but a few poor folk, so I don't figure on our gift shop threatening Wal-Mart any time soon unless we expand our "numbers" -- if nothing else this will get us into the practice of setting up gift shops (shopping carts and all, perhaps) so we will be ready to go when we get sites that become horribly famous...

Sales got so bad I liquidated the last of my cards - they are no longer available.
