Announcing Lectio Wordsfree.  Long anticipated (by me) but never designed until just recently.

Before, I was too busy trying to make an online version of Lectio Divina.  Timing, four stages and all -- but once I broke that limiting paradigm, this became obvious.  The part I want is to share our reactions.  We don't need a complex process to do it!

Here are the rules.  We will take a scripture reading and quote it.  Please don't just reference it.  Short is typically good, but not measured or restricted.

Then we will enter a reaction to the scripture.  It may be something we type, emoticons, pictures, links to articles, videos, etc.  My original idea was to be like Lectio Divina and just be we type what we think, but this is Lectio WF and we make up our own rules here.  I say any thoughts or ideas qualify.

Whether we are "right" or "wrong" isn't even a question.  This is NOT about INTERPRETING scriptures.  This is about REACTING to them, which may come in the form of an interpretation, or it may not.  So there is no "debate" although I don't know why we can't ask each other questions about our reactions for the sake of empathy.   Cool

OK, I'll leave this a sticky thread in case anyone has any snide remarks to add... or even constructive ones are allowed as well.   Wink

Please enjoy Lectio WF at your leisure.  No time limits, this is about getting to deeper levels of the Bible than just the literal.   Cheesy

I think it is a lovely idea Alan...i like the fact that we can tell what we think or reaction to it without deep thought.
It is a very good exercise in trusting your gut reactions, and not over thinking things. I am game...off to go look
for something to wonder about... (should not be, but with you guys i won't feel afraid to open the bible alone)
