Ran across this quote from St. Francis de Sales:

"Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself.
Do not lose courage ... every day begin the task anew."

How hard it is to do that. Even those of us who have been taught that what we do is of little or no value still tend to believe that we should be able to do things right, to not continually make the same mistakes and fall into the same traps. And we tend to beat ourselves up for committing the same sins over and over.

We do indeed need to learn to have patience with ourselves. We are who we are, and when we fail we simply need to get up, dust ourselves off, and try again.

Do not lose courage ... every day begin the task anew.

Indeed!

This is the effect of true charity, to be on good terms with all men, to consider no one your enemy, and to live at peace with those who hate peace.--Robert Bellarmine

Indeed John, it is so hard to be patient with oneself.

Especially when we commit the same sins over and over.

Some we can not controle, others we try, and still...

we walk away feeling like a looser.

But truth arrives in messages brought to us via a friend, and he delivers hope!

Yes, i know he simply was placed at the right place, and at the right time!

But still, the facts are the facts! Arent friends cool?

Thanks for this reminder John.
